Being an award winning author is hard. Being an award winning author when you are part of
the LGBTQ+ community is even harder. But being an award winning author who writes with
LGBTQ+ themes is hardest of all. You might think differently, but imagine putting yourself out
there to the whole world. You need a strong sense of self to be able to deal with the accolades
and the criticism whether it be direct or indirect, from family and friends or complete strangers. I
hope to inspire others to cultivate their sense of self. I hope to build connections between
people and diverse characters, but most of all I hope to become a multi-award winning author
from the LGBTQ+ community.
